We're Hannah and CJ!
We started Morning Glory Toddler Care over two years ago to create a space for our daughter to be able to grow and learn with children her age in a space that valued curiosity and connection. As a preschool teacher (Hannah) and pediatric speech therapist (CJ), we have always loved working with children and helping them become who they were meant to be. We have carefully developed our outdoor space into an exciting environment for children to explore personal interests, develop gross and fine motor skills, discover the world around them, connect and collaborate with others, and begin to participate in rhythms that will prepare them for preschool. We also want our space to feel like home and love that our kids look forward to coming every day!
A Day at Morning Glory
Our program is designed to create a balance between playing freely and
participating in structured rhythms. We find that this is the best way for children to
discover their unique interests and build friendships, all while growing accustomed to
routines that will prepare them for preschool.
Discovering Nature
​
The world around us is so exciting! We love watering our plants, noticing flowers and birds on our walks, and even finding tiny slugs and bugs in our own garden!
Working Together
​
There are many opportunities to learn together as we grow in friendship! We may be digging in the sand areas, cooking in the play kitchen, or building a magnet tile tower. No matter what, it's always an adventure!
Creating Artwork
​
We provide an activity each day to help our kids explore their artistic side. This can include classic drawing and painting activities, or something more tactile like bead bracelets.
Park Adventures
​
We are blessed to have a fantastic park just a short walk from our daycare space. We load up in our wagon and head to the park daily! Between running, climbing, sliding, and biking, this is one of the best parts of the day!
Circle Time
​
We want to begin preparing our kids for the structure of preschool! Each day we sit for a short circle time in which we greet each other by name, sing songs, learn about a letter in the alphabet, and read a story!
Family Style Lunch
​
We provide a delicious homemade lunch for our kids every day. They all learn to come to the table at lunch time, participate in hand washing, and share a meal together.
Program Details
Hours? Morning Glory is a half day program and we are open five days per week from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm.​
​
Ages? We welcome children 12 mo. to 36 mo. old. If a child past 36 months is still thriving in our program, they may continue past their third birthday.
​
Staff-to-Child Ratio? We typically have 5-8 children present on any given day, and two care providers are always present.
​
Fully Outdoors? While our space is mainly outdoors, we have a small classroom and covered deck for circle time and rainy days. The kids love spending the whole morning outside!
​
Potty Training? We welcome and support all potty trainers! All children in diapers receive three scheduled diaper checks daily.
​
Licensed? We are fully licensed under California law, and every care provider has completed a background check. At least one CPR-trained care provider is present at all times.​​​
​
Rate? Please contact us for rate information. While we have a base rate, we want our program to work for as many families as possible and can sometimes offer a sliding scale.
